Tajir "TheCoachWharton" Wharton

Tajir Wharton, known as TheCoachWharton, is a motivational speaker, life coach, and football coach whose personal journey informs his public platform. Wharton delivers keynote addresses and workshops to youth, companies, sports teams, and conferences, focusing on topics such as youth empowerment, social activism, sports, overcoming adversity, peak performance, mental health, and philanthropy.

Wharton’s commitment to service began at a young age. As an ambassador for Samaritan’s Feet Inc., he traveled to South Africa, speaking to students and participating in the Champions of Hope event, where he shared insights from his early experiences. He has also served as a keynote speaker for the Benton Youth Initiative Conference, addressing students and parents on leadership and resilience.

A former collegiate and professional football player, Wharton earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from North Carolina A&T State University and played for teams including Carolina Energy and Triangle Torch, with tryouts in both the NFL and CFL. He has five years of experience as a high school science teacher and seven years coaching high school football and track, including roles as defensive coordinator at Hickory Ridge High School and junior varsity defensive coordinator for Hickory Ridge Bulls Athletics.

Wharton is the founder and executive director of The All-American Experience Showcase Inc., an organization dedicated to athlete development and student-athlete exposure. The organization has provided a platform for more than 3,000 athletes to showcase their skills, with over 500 participants advancing to collegiate football and several reaching the NFL. Showcase events include combine testing, position-specific drills, and seminars on finance, NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), career development, recruiting, and character building.

As a speaker, Wharton addresses leadership, mental health, and resilience, mentoring youth and supporting audiences seeking guidance on personal growth and the power of mindset.
